What is the Sculptra® ?

Sculptra® is an esthetic injectable based on L-polylactic acid, a potent collagen inducer. Unlike conventional hyaluronic acid injections that fill immediately, the Sculptra acts in depth by gradually stimulating the natural production of collagen to restore facial volume in a sustainable and natural way.

Sculptra® contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible molecule that acts in depth by:

How does a Sculptra® facial session work?

A Sculptra treatment session always begins with a personalized medical consultation at the Biolaser Center in Saint-Louis, near Basel, and close to Weil am Rhein, Lörrach, Allschwil and Freiburg im Breisgau. The aesthetic doctor evaluates your face, your volumes and the elasticity of your skin in order to determine a tailor-made treatment plan.

• Preliminary medical consultation to analyze needs.
• Disinfection and marking of the areas to be treated.
• Injection of Sculptra using a cannula or fine needle, depending on the areas deep in the dermis or subcutaneous layer.
• The product is evenly distributed thanks to a careful massage, which is essential to avoid irregularities and ensure an even result.
• The session lasts an average of 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the areas treated. It is painless or very painless thanks to the possible addition of lidocaine in the product.

Contraindications to Sculptra® treatment
